AWM360, the exclusive distributor of dorma + kaba access control and digital security solutions to the Southern Africa market, completed the rollout of biometric-based time & attendance technology at Johannesburg Water (SOC) Pty.
AWM360 is a leading technology supplier to Human Capital Management (HCM) workforce and HR markets. It recently won a tender to supply and install technology at metro utility service Johannesburg Water.
The state-owned water utility required a services provider with the expertise and access to technology that was SAP-certified and could be integrated to address indoor and outdoor T&A requirements and infrastructure.
Technology also had to be integrated with the utility’s existing SAP payroll systems.
dorma + kaba authority
As the recognised Southern Africa distributor of Switzerland-based and Germany-manufactured dorma + kaba product AWM360 is in a unique position to leverage this world-renowned technology for the benefit of its first public services industry client.
Dorma + kaba is the leader in the production and rollout of market changing solutions such as dorma + kaba Enterprise Access Control Management (EACM) system, the dorma + kaba B-web 9300 series biometrics and dorma + kaba exos.
The solutions work off biometric technology and are designed to integrate with-and enhance payroll systems and address issues that eat away productivity levels, such as payroll errors and inefficient time logging.
Dorma + kaba Kaba b-comm ERP 5 – SAP ERP links directly to payroll and supports different working models, so you can manage flexitime, fixed time and shift rosters, and significantly reduce your payroll costs.
“We have positioned this solution to help Johannesburg Water manage individual employees’ time, covering all aspects including leave, overtime as well as compliance aspects. The advantages of this technology include scalability, and the ability to link directly to your enterprise resource planning system to automate data collection and evaluation,” explains Guenter Nerlich, managing director of AWM360 Data Systems.
Feature rich
The dorma + kaba time and attendance solution is ideal for accurate reading, monitoring and managing staff, and is positioned to add important value for a services utility like Johannesburg Water.
“This is because the module is scalable to enterprise-wide processes such as statutory, and contractual conditions that can be defined by the user. The system also ensures compliance with working-time rules and regulations… and this level of flexibility and practical functionality is invaluable to a public services venture like our client,” Nerlich adds.
Johannesburg Water is now running the system at its headquarters and will be phasing in its depots and other remote locations within the next weeks.
